Fall semester in review

As fall semester comes to a close, we can look back at all of the incredible things we accomplished as a chapter this semester. Here is our semester in review:

House Games was an idea that one of our Scholars came up with last year. The idea of the games are to unite the chapter and to participate in fun activities together. This semester House Games really flourished and we competed in everything from sports, trivia, ping pong and much, much more. They are a great way for all of us to bond and have some time to destress in the midst of everyone's hectic schedules.

We also got to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our Scholarship House, which is a huge milestone in our history. All of our Scholars got to talk with Evans Alumni and hear their stories about when they lived in the same House we all are living in now. It was an unforgettable experience.

We also had a very successful second annual Evans Scholars 5k. We raised about $700 for the MU Women's and Children's Hospital. We had a great turnout, and it is always great when we can give back to our community in such a great way. Along with the 5k, we also participated in several other philanthropic events such as highway cleanup, volunteering at the nursing home, the food pantry, and adopt-a-family. This year our chapter provided Christmas gifts for two children!

We have had a wonderful semester here at Mizzou, and we look forward to the spring semester. We will miss those who are graduating in a few weeks and wish them luck on their future endeavors!
